Michael O'Connor has had stories and poems published in a large number of UK/North American print and online magazines (including A Collection of Words 3,  All Hallows,  BAD Press,  Bloodletters,  Book of the Dead, Connections,  Crystal,  Delivered,   Dementia 13,  Doppelganger Broadsheet,  The Dragon Chronicle,  The Dream Zone,  the Electric Acorn,  Fire,  Footsteps, Gateway Monthly, Gentle Reader, Gravity’s Angels, The Heliograph,  Kimota,  Lateral Moves, Lost In The Dark, The Magpie's Nest,  Mensa Magazine Short Story Supplement,  Nasty Piece of Work, The New Cauldron,  Omega,  Peep Show,  Pennine Ink,  Pendragon,  Revelation,  Roadworks,  Sepia,  Sierra Heaven,  Strix, The Errorist,  The Weekly News,  The Writers’ Cauldron,  Thirteen,  Threads,  Twa Dugs,  Verse Noir,  Xenos, and Zest.) One of his stories received an Honorable Mention (sic) in the tenth annual edition of the international publication Year's Best Fantasy and Horror, and another in the thirteenth annual edition. Others have been successful in the 1998 Department for Education Cancer Research Campaign competition (First Prize) and the Camberley Writers' Circle 1998 Competition (Highly Commended), as well as in the 1997, 1998 and 2001 Lewis Wright Competitions and the 1996 Redcar Writers' Competition.  One of his stories and two of his poems were short-listed in Writers’ News competitions. He has written articles on popular culture for a local magazine, and has had literary essays and book reviews published in The Journal of the Lewis Carroll Society and The Baum Bugle (Journal of the International Wizard of Oz Club). He wrote an article on Dickens for the Urban Fox Press book The Medway Scene and has four short stories in their sequel New Art From North Kent as well as two stories and two poems in their later The Arts In Medway; Urban Fox also published a single-author anthology of sixteen of his short stories under the title Where Do They All Belong?  He has a story in the anthology Making Changes published by Bridge House Press. His latest book is the non-fiction From Chaucer to Childish: Writers and Artists in the Medway Towns, which was published by Medway Delta Press. Currently, he is seeking a publisher for his first (fantasy) novel and is working on his second; he has collaborated on an SF novel with a friend, for which they are also seeking a publisher.

     I currently have two books available: a collection of my short stories entitled "Where Do They All Belong?" at £6 a copy and my non-fiction book "From Chaucer to Childish -- Writers and Artists in the Medway Towns" at £9 a copy -- both prices include P&P within the UK (a little extra for abroad).
